Erik and I met back in high school where we competed against each other in baseball. After a few years being rivals we became teammates on a summer baseball program called the Long Island Tigers. It was there when we began training together at a performance facility that was equipped with PICP Level 5 Coaches which is the highest level of the Poliquin International Certification Program.
We would train before and after baseball games due to our obsession with having the biggest forearms on our team. If one of us slacked on forearms that day we would have to pull the wrist tape a little tighter just to get an extra vein out of our arms. This made for great team photos!
After our baseball careers, he became a project manager and I became a director of performance at that same gym. Since then I have traveled the world learning from the best in this industry to gain the unfair advantage as my mentor Charles Poliquin would say.
In 2021, Erik reached out to me about my RE5ET Program. As a new father himself he needed an old man with two kids to guide him away from the all so popular DAD BOD.
We established realistic goals amongst lifestyle, nutrition and training that was able to fit into his current life. My entire goal with programming individuals is to create consistency with practical actions that have massive return on investment.
Every two weeks Erik would drive 2 hours to get his Skinfold Assessments, Training, Nutrition and Manual Tissue work done. The goal was to cut his long workouts down into short, dense and efficient training times.
He trained 5 days a week with each workout never going over 45 minutes.
We were able to acquire great results in a short amount of time focusing on just the basics. It is in the basics where we create real change especially when being a new father with lack of recovery.
Nutrition and sleep were the biggest priorities to promote the energy and recovery for massive body transformation. The training and supplements were able to accelerate those changes throughout the course of our time. Below are the results of his Skinfold Assessment.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your everyday life?
My name is Erik, I am a Strength Coach and a Project Manager. I am always on the go and lead a very active life style.
How did you come across Steven?
I have known Steve for close to 20 years. Grew up talking about fitness and playing travel baseball together. Steve is knowledgeable and extremely dedicated to all of his clients.
What motivated you to start and follow a program?
While I am a trainer, I believe that trainers need training themselves. You can't grow and evolve if you don't have any skin in the game. The trick is finding a trustworthy, knowledgeable trainer and Steve is just that!
How has your energy levels changed during the program?
My energy was through the roof. Prior to training with Steve I was lethargic and couldn't figure out why, until Steve noticed my nutrition and we went to work!
How has your sleep changed during the program?
My sleep was deep and I was able to also get myself to sleep much easier.
How often and how long did you train for during the program?
I worked with Steve for 3 months and trained 5 days per week.
What has been your favorite change during your time together?
My favorite change was my energy levels, as well as, my body composition. Training with Steve was a great experience, and again as a trainer, I learned a ton!!
