5 WAYS TO INCREASE ENERGY AND MOTIVATION

Every morning is a new opportunity for greatness and It is how you start your day that determines your day.

Morning routines are a staple for successful individuals. If you sit back and observe the lives of the top 1% in your industry at any point in time you will notice that they all have a routine in the morning. Everybody from Tony Robbins to Richard Branson to Muhammed Ali, etc. they all have established routines. This is because how you start your day has a domino effect on how you feel, how you perform and how you make decisions.

Let’s look at two common scenarios:

You wake up rushed, stressed and chasing to be on time for work while being left with nothing prepared for your bodies ability to perform

How do you usually feel during the rest of that day? I assume you are feeling rushed, stressed and chasing time. You end up getting to work and realizing that you may have forgot to take out the garbage, you forgot to have breakfast and you start to feel stuck to those feelings for the next few hours. Stress and anxiety are sitting quite high, your ability to have clarity for work performance has declined and if anybody asks you for anything you may be scaling them out the next available window. Not good for your Resumé.

You wake up earlier to establish the proper mindset, you begin to prepare your food for the day and you go over your objectives

How do you usually feel during the rest of this day? I assume you are feeling confident, energized and have a feeling of power over your day. You have taken the necessary steps to prepare and plan for success in your job, your relationships, and your overall health. This type of person is someone who attracts more success in the future.

This is why you want to observe the top 1% of earners in the world and learn from them. If you study their lives you too can build foundations of success.

There are many ways to prepare for your day and this is on an individualized basis. People like to meditate, while others like to workout and others like to read a book while other like to listen to music. Whichever practice builds confidence and energy for the day is one I suggest you try.

Five Morning Routine Habits

Wake Up 30-60 minutes Earlier than Normal. By waking up earlier you allow your body to wake up without the feeling of being rushed. This minimizes your stress response and allow the brain to begin working with energy and clarity.

Positive Affirmations. This is one important practice for building confidence in yourself. Reciting “I am successful, I am great, I am beautiful,” multiple times while looking in the mirror can have a lasting change on the way you look at yourself. Do not let any outside third party subjective determine how you feel about yourself. Their opinions don’t matter to you.

Seek Calm and Tranquility without Technology. Avoid stress and chaos by waking up without distractions such as social media, email, news, and all screens. Instead wake up to the sunrise outdoors or a quiet neutral colored room with limited light and just be. With less stress to your environment you will invite a sense of calm if your mind, body and soul.

Grounding Outdoors. With the practice of grounding you will be able to gain energy from the earth to increase health and well-being. Grounding is the practice of standing or walking on the natural earth with your bare feet. It balances the positive ions that are build up in the body over time by exposing us to negative ions that can bring us back to a neutral state.

Move your Body. Exercise is one habit that will improve many other areas of your life. Movement will supply the body and brain with blood. The circulation of blood is an important aspect of health because it transports nutrients, oxygen and heat to all areas involved to increase energy and vitality. Especially for individuals with orthopedic issues blood circulation can help improve joint integrity which is a negative aspect of aging.

In the next two weeks try to put together a morning routine that fits your life. One that is achievable and consistent that can lead to increased energy, motivation and success.
