BLUE MONDAY 2023
Blue Monday. I just recently heard about last week from one of my clients. They asked me if I was prepared for the most down and depressed day of the year.
Now this is news to me as I really don't pay attention to every single day's national holiday. But I was intrigued by the concept so I looked into it a little bit.
Blue Monday is a result from a formula brought about in the early 2000s by a psychologist named Dr. Cliff Arnall. He concluded that every third Monday in the month of January is typically the most depressing day of the year.
I totally understood why as we're back into our normal everyday routines back to work and we are just a few weeks out from being with family and friends and creating great memories during the holiday season.
But then I reflected and realized that this also the time of the year when everybody's big grand plans and resolutions start declining. All of your motivation and your discipline are starting wear off.
In my opinion, I can concluded that from all my consulting with clients is that you start to realize that the goals you set out to accomplish are too superficial and do not come from a place of love.
And I also realized that people make resolutions without a solid plan in place.
So this week I released the first part of a three-part series of Goal Setting on the YouTube channel. I want to share with you the exact process I go through when putting together goals whether it's 10 years, 3 years or 1 year.
